SUPER SINGLE T&E Package – (Single with no Minor Children)
This package is designed specifically for a single person (not legally married) who does not have any minor child/children. Once you have this package and if and when you get married and/or have a minor child, you can easily add on the document(s) listed under the “Future Documents” below to cover the additional needs in the future. This package includes the following documents:
Durable Power of Attorney (Assets) – allows you to appoint an authorized person (with backups) to manage your assets if you are incapacitated.
Healthcare Directives – allows you to appoint an authorized person (with backups) to make decisions for you regarding your medical treatment and procedures if you are incapacitated.
The Will – allows you to appoint an executor to manage your assets and beneficiaries to inherit your assets after your death.
POTENTIAL FUTURE PRODUCT(S):
When and if get married, please make sure to consider to do the following:
- Update your Will – simply by purchase a new Will and update the information regarding spouse.
When and if you have a minor child in the future, please make sure to consider to do the following:
- Obtain Guardianship for Minors to allow you to appoint a Guardian (With backups) to take care of your minor child if you and your spouse are both incapacitated.
- Although SeedJura Guardianship for Minors also include languages to allow the Guardian to continue to take care of your minor child after your death (and your spouse’s death), it is recommended to update your Will to include such Guardianship appointment in the Will.
